Aftercare and Policies
before your appointment
To prepare for your lash appointment, please come in with no make-up and limited caffeine intake. The makeup may affect lash retention issues and caffeine can cause your eyes to flutter during your appointment.
We aim at Aki Beauty to be a relaxing and calm environment for clients who are wanting to pamper yourself. Unfortunately the salon is not children or pet friendly so please plan your appointments in advance. If you are wanting a silent appointment, you can let your lash artist know and bring in your music/podcast with your bluetooth earphones if you wish 😊
aftercare
- Keep your new lashes dry for the first 24 hours. I would recommend to use wipes around your eyes to clean your face.
- Say good-bye to your mascara! Highly recommend to not use mascara on your eyelash extensions as it could cause cluster, which could also cause premature fallout.
- Wash your face and eyelashes with foam cleanser (We sell these if you'd like to purchase one) to remove dirt, makeup and natural oil from your eyelashes.
- Blowdry your eyelashes when wet with cool air.
- Avoid sleeping on your face and eyelashes to prevent premature fallout.
- Avoid touching/rubbing your eyes/eyelashes. Instead, use your spoolie to brush your eyelashes.
- Do not curl your lash extensions as it could pull out your extensions.
- Use oil-free products on your face as oil could cause the extensions to fall out from your lashes.
- Schedule your next appointment for 2-4 weeks infill, to maintain the look of your lashes.
Cancellation Policy
We require $50 non-refundable deposit for all new appointments to secure your appointment. We need at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. If failed to do so to give 24 hour notice cancellation, we unfortunately need to charge the following fee to cover the cost and time. If however, the appointment is changed to another day but same week when given notice of at least 24 hours, we will not charge you the $50 deposit for the missed appointment.
late, no-show and After-hour Policy
Appointments late under 15min will still be charged the full amount within the appointment time booked.
Any appointments late over 15min is considered a no-show.
For all no-show appointments, we will invoice you a $50 charge for the appointment to cover the cost and time. When booking your next appointment with us, we will require 50% deposit of the service you will be booking to secure your appointment.
Please note that services booked outside of regular hours will incur an additional after-hours fee of $10.
